What is a framework Korea has pursued?
Has Korea pursued infinite growth as a goal?
In command economies, the economy is the extension of politics. Innovation is a means of implementation. Korea is no exception.
What are the characteristics of Korea’s economic model and long-term tendencies of the system?
As long as it continues to serve its political model, the current model may be the best policy for them.
However, one should keep in mind that when a nation is so unbalanced on many fronts, the risks of an eventual breakdown are high.
History has also shown that the so-called free market principles were adopted at times of crisis in favor of the kleptocracy.
It may have been true that kleptocracy has succeeded in organizing a multi-decade improvement in the infrastructure and standard of living, yet pursuing the broadest happiness and success for the most people has not been their primary goal.
What kind of country it wishes to be?
The current economic/political framework has fundament flaws and needs to be corrected through regulatory reforms and policy changes.
